Let's be honest, being a young adult is difficult! There is so much pressure and thoughts of failure. We are all just feeling our way through life. We're trying to survive on the other end of it all (while looking hella cute in the process.) If you are interested in hearing the “I don't have it all together, but I am trying really hard” story, then this is the place for you, my friend! I can't wait to bring you along on the ride and show you all the fun things I have planned for you.
The Happy Arkansan was started in November of 2011 (under a different name at the time.) I was trying to make my way through college residence hall life. As I have gotten older (I was 18 when I started the blog) I have grown a lot. I want people to learn from my mistakes, make their college/young adult experiences better, and fill me in on all the details of their super awesome lives.

I am an Arkansas native and I like to shop small.
I'm a college graduate (University of Central Arkansas-May 2015.) I am also a recent graduate school graduate (Arkansas State University-August 2017.) I got my undergraduate degree in Sociology with a Criminology concentration and a minor in Anthropology and I got my MA in Sociology.
When I am not blogging for this blog, I am usually working at my day job, writing content for my clients over at Amanda Cross Co., or napping. I am your average run-of-the-mill wants to be involved with everything young adult.
Likes: Pretty colors, alternative rock music, preppy clothing, donuts, bows, picking the perfect accessories to go with my outfits, monograms, smiling, laughing, laughing so hard I start crying, red & purple lipstick, and helping others
Dislikes: Waking up before 9 AM, being late to things, flowers as gifts, cliffhangers, and losing items I really like to wear
