A few weekends ago my family and I found ourselves in Memphis for a bit of a staycation. On that Sunday, we decided to explore the South Main Arts District a little bit more. We often go to that part of Memphis for the National Civil Rights Museum, but we realized that we hadn’t truly explored much of the area. Here’s my guide to South Main Arts District in case you wanted to get to know the neighborhood a little better.
This weekend I found myself in Memphis visiting Hotel Indigo Memphis. Hotel Indigo just started taking bookings earlier this year, and I was dying to check out this beautiful hotel. I didn’t have a downtown hotel that I was locked into, so it was amazing to check out Hotel Indigo for a taste of what a downtown stay in Memphis could be. If you are looking for a hotel while you are in Memphis, Tennessee – this is the place to be.
Note: Hotel Indigo Memphis gave me a complimentary night in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.
This week we found ourselves in Memphis because we went to an excellent comedy show in Southaven, Mississippi this weekend. I found out about the Brooks Museum of Art while following Memphis Travel on Instagram, and I knew we had to go. Can you believe I’ve lived near Memphis my whole life, but I didn’t know about the Brooks Museum? This place is fantastic, and I wanted to chat about this on the blog today because of it.
This past Saturday I found myself in a new (to me) part of Memphis, TN. I have talked about my love of Memphis on the blog before, and this time I was given tickets with my dad to go to the MEMPHO Music Festival at Shelby Farms Park.
Today, I wanted to run through some of the acts I saw the festival. Soon, I will also publish a more in-depth look at what to expect when you go as well as a few more pictures from my time at Shelby Farms Park!
Let’s focus on the musical acts I saw Saturday.
