Let's talk about all things CBD today. I first started considering CBD in 2019, and I looked into a variety of companies on that journey. There are various places to get CBD online and even some places in my town that sell CBD products. I knew that I wanted a particular sales experience when it came to CBD products. In the end, I decided to connect with the fantastic folks over at R+R Medicinals to start my CBD journey. Here is my experience using CBD and the products I tried along the way.

Why I Decided To Try CBD

I was dealing with a ton of anxiety while working from home. From anxiety around the companies I work with as a freelancer to running this blog and my podcast, I stretch myself pretty thin. My nerves were impacting my life in various ways, from going to the grocery store to getting the right amount of sleep.

Since I was always on a screen, I needed something that could help calm me down before bed. I often felt like my brain was running a million miles per hour before bed, and that became a challenge for me. I felt like my sleep was suffering, which was making my work suffer too. Using blue light glasses helped ease the screen time, but it didn't help with everything. I found that I was still having trouble sleeping through the night sometimes.

Overall, I wanted something that could help me feel better when I was dealing with all the anxiety and nervousness. I'd heard a lot about CBD and how it can help with nerves and sleep, so I decided to look into various CBD companies. I wasn't having the best luck finding a reputable company until I heard about R+R Medicinals.

R+R Medicinals Review: Why I Love Them So Much

When it came to picking a type of CBD company to try, I knew it needed to look around for a reputable company. There are many CBD companies out there, but I wanted one that was focused on education and testing their products. I didn't want to purchase from or recommend a CBD company whose website consisted of a buy button and a blurb about a product. I needed all the information like I am sure most people getting into CBD need.

R+R Medicinals stands above the competition in the value they place on education and their customer service. The team behind R+R Medicinals is very active on social media, and you can contact them with questions via their contact form on their website. R+R Medicinals does their best to get back to you on the same business day. I've looked at a ton of CBD companies, and I love how dedicated R+R Medicinals is to their customers and potential buyers.

Another reason I love R+R Medicinals is that they use USDA organic hemp in their products and they use third-party tests to ensure the quality of their products. You should also know that their products are made in Colorado and that they are veteran, family, and minority-owned.

R+R Medicinals Tincture

One of the most common ways to take CBD is through a tincture or CBD oil. R+R Medicinals has a ton of different types of tincture products, and these have the highest dose of CBD. These tinctures go from 500mgs to 2500mgs. Unless you've tried CBD oil before and know your dosage, R+R Medicinals suggests that you start with 1000mgs. The middle tincture is the perfect starting point because if you feel like you can't handle it, you can go down; if you want more, you can go up.

Here are the exact dosages of the tinctures:

  • 500mg = 16.67mg/serving
  • 1000mg = 33.33mg/serving
  • 2500mg = 41.67mg/serving

A serving is considered 1mL or 40 drops. The dropper included with your tincture is marked up to 1mL so you can get the right dosage for you.

Now, the tinctures aren't my favorite way to take CBD, even if it is the most common way. The original R+R Medicinals tincture has a peppermint taste, which I am not the biggest fan of. R+R Medicinals recently released an unflavored tincture, though, which I am excited to try soon. Overall, I think tinctures are a great way to get into CBD, especially if you want something with a higher dose.

R+R Medicinals Softgels

R+R Medicinals softgels are what made me fall in love with this company. For a while late last year, I was having issues sleeping. I was staying up way too late and having problems staying asleep at night. I reached for these softgels, and in a matter of days, my sleep routine was back in order, and I was able to sleep better at night. Taking just one of these softgels improved my sleeping habits, which helped me perform better at work. I take more of these pills (and CBD in general) at night. The dosage of 30mgs of CBD is perfect for me.

I love these softgels because they are tasteless and easy to take at night. I keep them on my bedside table and take them as I am preparing to sleep at night. Within 30 minutes, I am usually calm enough to drift off to sleep, even if I have been in front of a lot of screens that day (which is typically the case for me since I work from home.)

R+R Medicinals Gummies

One of R+R Medicinals' latest products is their gummies. These gummies taste amazing and gives the lowest doses of CBD of all the products I tried. If you want the lowest dose of their products, I suggest trying the 500mg tincture. I find that the 25mg dose you get with these gummies is perfect for calming down before bed or before an interview for my podcast. Overall, it gives me just the right amount of calm without going overboard. It's also one of the better tasting CBD products that R+R Medicinals offers since the tincture that I have has a peppermint taste, and the softgels are tasteless.

One thing that sets R+R Medicinals gummies apart from the competition is that they are infused with hemp extract versus just sprayed with it. Plus, if you are vegan and usually avoid gummies, you'll be excited to know that these gummies are vegan too!

Should You Try CBD?

It took me a while to decide to try CBD products. I think there is so much to consider when deciding to try the products. Before I tried the products, I wanted to find a reputable company who did a lot of tests on their products. CBD isn't the most well-regulated industry, so you need to find companies that do their due diligence. I've been impressed with R+R Medicinals for that reason. I feel like they have a fantastic handle on their products, and they make sure they are quality. You can even find the results of all their tests on their website if you want to get detailed.

CBD products don't use the THC part of hemp plants, but there is a chance that they may contain trace amounts of THC (R+R Medicinals products contain less than 0.3% THC) due to the process of removing CBD from hemp plants. R+R Medicinals gives the following warning about this, “Consult with your physician and employer before consuming any hemp supplement, especially if you're subject to testing, pregnant, breastfeeding, or on a prescribed medication. We advise you not to use this product if you are subject to testing. Use as directed. Use caution while driving or operating machinery. Hemp supplements may contain trace, but legal amounts of THC. Keep out of reach of children.”

Whether or not you decide to give CBD a try is entirely up to you. I use these products sparingly in my own life. After doing my own research, I decided that trying R+R Medicinals products felt safe for me. If you'd like to try R+R Medicinals products, you can use the code RRHAPPY20 for 20% off your purchase!

Which Product Should You Try First?

If you decide to try CBD, you might be wondering which product you should try first. I am particularly fond of the gummies they just released. The gummies have become my go-to way to take CBD lately. At only 25mg of CBD per gummy, you get a small but powerful dose of CBD, and it's the perfect first step into CBD. If you know you want something with a higher dose, the tinctures are your best option. The product that sold me are the softgels, though, which you might love if you want something simple to take without the extra sugar that the gummies have.

Conclusion

I hope you liked this quick look into CBD and why I chose R+R Medicinals products. I think that CBD can help a lot of people, but it's something that you need to decide to use on your own. If you choose to use R+R Medicinals, use my special coupon code RRHAPPY20 for 20% off your purchase!
