Welcome to the first ever edition of Manic Monday! In these posts, I'm gonna chronicle the ups, downs, and motivations behind my blog and biz life. I wanted a place I could sit down weekly and chat with you for a few minutes, and a little Monday post seemed like just what the doctor ordered!
This past year has been pretty brutal on me. Last year I decided that instead of pursuing my P.h.D, I would be a content creator. I would blog and freelance write as my primary source of income, and this last year has been rocky making that happen.
I am not going to lie and say that everything has been peachy. I've dealt with a million things getting in my way from depression to power outages and even a month without an internet connection. It's been the opposite of a stable environment for me to grow my business in.
But you know what, I'm going to devote the next year to change that. I'm going to be the girl who decided to go for it, because, who else will go for it for me? No one.
I encourage you to go on this journey with me. What will you go for? What are you going to spend the next year going at non-stop? What change will you make in your life to make it successful?
For me, creating content has been the one happy place in my life for the last seven years. Since 2011, I've come to my blog time and time again to pour out my soul, help fellow millennials, and grow my brand. It has been such a wonderful experience for me over the past few years. I seriously cannot imagine my life without the people I've met through this blog.
This next year is going to be a beautiful time for me. I am going to put time, effort, and energy into growing this space. I recently made the tough decision to switch platforms from Squarespace to WordPress. I am excited about the transition and creating a space on the internet that feels wholly mine.
I want to put out more content for you, work with more brands, and make this a space that is genuinely going to help you live your happiest life. For as long as I could remember my lifelong dream has been to help people. Above all else, I know that's what I am put on this earth to do.
I hope you will join me on this journey and continue checking out these Manic Monday posts. I cannot wait to grow with you as we are the girls who decided to go for it.

Wow, thanks so much for sharing your experiences as a content creator. You are such a n inspiration–like, I know that sounds cliche, but it truly describes how I feel when I visit your blog and IG. It pushes me to keep trying and creating content. Keep going, girl–you’re doing fantastic work.
Also, make time to recharge too, you’re a hard worker and I want you to keep going strong 🙂

LeighannThank you so much Leighann! Your comments made my day! Trust me, I will definitely take time to recharge. On the day I posted this I spent multiple hours hiding away in my room with a mini The Office marathon.
